This interview with Newtek’s Phillip Nelson at NAB2010 explores some of the arguments for specialized gear, featuring the Newtek Tricaster. The Tricaster is deployed at many network level productions, yet has a place in much smaller studios or in the field. In one compact box, it provides production switching and effects, local video for large screen monitors, video for broadcast, and encoded video streams for live web distribution.
